A Longstanding Background in Greenville
A key advantage that Barkley brings to the Parker Group is that he was born and raised right here in Greenville. He has personally seen how Greenville (especially downtown) has evolved and grown over the years, and he’s extremely familiar with all the ins and outs not only of the city, but its suburbs as well. Barkley attended Greenville’s own Christ Church Episcopal School before going on to study at NC State University. He has a great sense of pride in Greenville and speaks excitedly about how the city has quickly become the envy of the country.
Professional Experience
Barkley has many years of experience in both the retail and customer service industries, having worked in customer service capacities for most of his adult life. After obtaining his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of South Carolina, he went on to work in sales in both residential and commercial floor coverings. He then served the Greenville Country Club as the Assistant Director of Tennis, where his customer service skills were tuned while working in the Pro Shop. For 33 years, Barkley has been dedicated to serving people, and this dedication continues as he takes on his new role here at Parker Group.
Passionate about Service
Over the last few decades of working in customer service and retail, Barkley Rickman has developed an incredible ability to help people find not only what they want, but what they need as well. Getting to the bottom of clients’ needs (whether they realize them or not) is a skill he carries with him to Parker Group. Barkley enjoys helping customers and solving problems and is excited to bring that passion to the real estate industry.
More About Barkley Rickman
In his spare time, Barkley closely follows the Wolfpack and the Gamecocks and enjoys reading mystery novels and enjoying quality time with friends. He also gives back to his community because it has given so much to him. For the last several years, he had the privilege of serving as Chairman of the Marion Harris “Smash Cancer” Tennis Classic. He is most proud of the fact that the charity event has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for the American Cancer Society and most recently, the Cancer Society of Greenville County. Barkley is also a supporter of Run 4 Life.
