After ranking number 18 in the U.S. tennis doubles NAIA college division, Rod Suarez developed a sense of determination that has carried him through two successful years in the real estate industry thus far.
As an avid tennis player, he got a full ride to University of Memphis for one year. After that, Rod transferred to Columbia State Community College for another year. Then, he spent his last two years of college at North Greenville University where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
Rod’s career started as a branch manager for Wachovia, now Wells Fargo. He practiced his people-skills in this position for six years. Following this experience, he worked as a Financial Services Representative Life and Health Insurance at New York Life and Consolidated Planning for five years.
Prior to his position as Realtor Associate at Parker Group, Rod worked as the Head Tennis Professional at Thornblade Club for another five years. He has now been with Parker Group family for two years going strong.
Rod attributes his real estate success to his self-driven, loyal, determined, and relentless work ethic. He is always motivated to give back to others just as he feels others have given back to him.
In his free time, Rod enjoys spending time with his wife and children. It is very important for him to be a great role model for his kids so that they can learn to help others as well.
On a personal level, he enjoys playing tennis. He has been playing since he was seven years old and he is so grateful for the lessons he has learned through the game. Not only that, but he has met some of the best people in his life through this sport. The relationships built through tennis have opened many doors that have allowed him to enjoy his life. Rod plans to continue to play tennis as long as he is well and able.
